Pete's Log: Spring and taxes

Entry #1788, (Life in General)
(posted when I was 36 years old.)

I filed a federal tax return today for the first time in a while. I'm pretty sure I did it right.

Last Saturday, Jamie and I took Boogs on a nice long walk, then biked to Lunar Brewing, a cute little brewery about 10 miles from our house. Along the way we had to deal with a flooded underpass, so that was quite the adventure. That evening we went to see Badfic Love with Annie. David was performing in it and it was a very funny performance. I only feel it was perhaps a bit longer than it should have been.

Sunday we tried to be lazier, but also ended up biking over to Forest Park to hang out with Sheron and Ken. We drank some delicious beers and had a few raindrops fall on us.

Also, I made bread again. And it turned out delicious. I added a bit of non-wheat grains, plus a bit of extra gluten to make up for it. So it was several cups of starter plus 4 cups of bread flour, 1.5 cups of whole wheat flour, and a half cup of other grain. Plus some salt and malt and gluten. The only thing I wish is that it had risen more. But I think in part doing things at a warmer temperature would have helped. Now it's probably going to be a few weeks before I bake again, but I'm going to keep on feeding my barm.
