Pete's Log: Thawing out

Entry #1890, (Life in General)
(posted when I was 42 years old.)

The temperate has remained above freezing for a couple days now, which has been quite nice. Our roof is now mostly clear of ice and no more water seems to have made its way into the attic above the living room.

The pile of snow in our back yard that was my height a week or so ago is now only about half my height.

It feels like more than just a thawing, it feels like we're coming out of hibernation. The forecast for the next 10 days looks like we'll be staying mostly above freezing too.

This past week Brookfield had single digits of new Covid-19 cases. First time since July that we had a single-digit week. Sounds promising. On the other hand we had some door-to-door lawn care salesmen come by today. They were not wearing masks. We did not open the door.
