Pete's Log: Coffee Snobs

Entry #1904, (Life in General)
(posted when I was 42 years old.)

I don't think it's entirely to fair to call Jamie and me coffee snobs. After all we do enjoy Dunkin Donuts coffee, and personally I miss a cheap bottomless diner coffee.

But when it comes to the coffee we brew at home, we're becoming more set in our ways. While there will always be room for adventurous coffee buying, we've taken steps to ensure a steady supply of "the good stuff."

We're on month three of our first monthly subscription, from Ten Drops, which we discovered a couple years ago. Their coffee is truly top notch.

Realizing the potential of having coffee simply delivered to us, we added a second monthly subscription, to Madcap out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. While they're not local, they've been a constant favorite pretty much since I met Jamie in 2013. A road trip to Grand Rapids to visit Madcap and some Michigan breweries remains high on our travel list.

Two coffee deliveries a month still leaves us room for some experimentation, but also ensures that we will hopefully always have something good available.
