Pete's Log: Four more hours until sleep

Entry #2350, (Life in General)
(posted when I was 44 years old.)

JB spent the day with Jamie's parents today. The highlight for her was getting to go to a baby shower with her grandmother. We're told she was well behaved and had a good time.

Tonight is our annual disaster recovery test at work, which usually runs from 10 pm until about 3 am. So Jamie and I had planned a quiet day today. But over lunch we impulsively decided to go back to the Renaissance Faire. We did some outfit shopping and people watching and had a grand time. We'll probably need a few more visits yet before we've completed the looks we're working on.

We also listened to some of an audio book (The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi) that was narrated by Wil Wheaton. I don't listen to many audiobooks (except on road trips with Jamie) but Wil Wheaton was entertaining to listen to.

Ten years ago today, I left Munich and moved to Chicago. Hard to believe it's been that long. Definitely still feels like I made the right decision, but I do miss Munich.
