Entry #2379, (Random Crap, Work)(posted when I was 45 years old.)
Most everyone at work has their name show up in our IT systems as "Last, First M." But somehow instead of just my middle initial, I show up with my full name everywhere: "Rijks, Peter William." I don't know if I put my full middle name on one of the HR intake forms that asked for just my middle initial or if someone in HR accidentally entered it that way. No idea. Never had any reason to look into it further.
Today, after almost five years at the job, I got an email for the first time addressing me as William. I was entertained.
