You thought of the drawback with the phone already - I was wondering if you were considereing some sort of implant - but that could be used against you some day if someone wanted to monitor your location.

I've thought of a problem for my first use case already. This would only allow you to prove that your phone was at a particular location at a given time, not that you were. But that is only a drawback of that use case, not of the concept. But fewer use cases does mean less chance of demand.

It is indeed plastic. There is a glass window before the plastic. And then scaffolding behind the plastic. Rumor has it the plastic has finally been removed. But I won't be back in the office until next Wednesday. So we shall see.
