Pete's Log: heeeeeeeyyy, heeyyy baby

Entry #1517, (Life in General)
(posted when I was 29 years old.)

I wanna knoooooow if you'll be my girl

I've got Wiesn Hits running through my head. It was a great weekend at Oktoberfest. :)

Saturday I got up early to meet Tony and some other Toytowners to try and get into a tent. We got into Fischer Vroni, and snagged two tables. We played cards and amused ourselves in other ways until they tapped the kegs at noon. Fischer Vroni serves Augustiner beer, my favorite in Munich. It goes down way too easily, though, and I got too drunk too quick. I was back at home by 8 pm. That's OK, though. It made me more careful on Sunday. And Sunday was phenomenal.

Sunday, Tony had wrangled up a table reservation at Schottenhamel Festzelt. So we met up there with a bunch of Toytown Ultimate players, as well as various other characters. The evening began at our table, which was on the balcony. It's bit calmer there, so it was great for the first few beers and dinner. We also enjoyed the view of the celebrating masses from above. However, eventually we needed to expand and be a part of the crowd, and somehow somebody got hold of two tables on the main floor. So we migrated down there. After the tent closed, I headed to the Hofbräuhaus with Don, his fiance, and a friend of theirs. Along the way, I serenaded random women on the subway.

And I still can't get the songs out of my head...

Alice? Who the fuck is Alice?!
