Pete's Log: super bowl XLIII

Entry #1616, (Sports and Athletics)
(posted when I was 30 years old.)

Hmm, this was going to go into that previous entry. Oops.

I watched the Super Bowl at the Munich Hard Rock Cafe with a group of expat friends. We played the typical square betting game. I had the 7-7 square. Scott had the Steelers 0-Cardinals 7 Square. Dan had Steelers 0-Cardinals 4.

Right before halftime, with the score Steelers 10-Cardinals 7, and with the Cardinals in scoring position on the goal line, it looks like the halftime money is going to Scott or Dan. I turn to Scott and say "pick-six."

Sure enough, James Harrison picks off Kurt Warner and returns the ball 100 yards for a touchdown. Score at the half: 17-7. Pete gets 20 bucks. I couldn't stop laughing. :)
