Pete's Log: Some Things

Entry #2115, (Homeownership, Life in General, Parenthood, Sports and Athletics)
(posted when I was 43 years old.)

Our robin has been tolerating our presence. We continue to use the basement door for yard access, and now that she's used to us she rarely even flies away when we come outside. Hope she appreciates our consideration. Hope her eggs hatch soon.

Played soccer for the first time on Thursday. Had 5-on-5. It was fun. My new watch thinks I burned a decent number of calories. Bert, Andrew, Connor and I followed up with a trip to Imperial Oak. The highlight of the evening was successfully requesting "Tim Armstrong-adjacent" music.

I spent several hours over the weekend weeding our yard. Also bought a bunch of plants. May is not an ideal month to spend away from gardening.

We still have two more days until our next CSA drop and we've managed to use most of what we got last week. Everything has been delicious so far.

We're debating the pros and cons of backyard chickens (Brookfield allows up to three hens) and also want to start composting again. Lots to think about.

Went to a kids birthday party on Saturday. Thinking those will become more common in our near future.
