Pete's Log: More Saturday Night TV
Entry #2702, (Random Crap)(posted when I was 46 years old.)
After my recent archive discovery of some Saturday Night TV classics, I remembered Relic Hunter, another staple at some point. Further research seems to indicate that the original Saturday Night TV lineup was Voyager, Xena, Cleopatra 2525, and Jack of all Trades. But I know things got changed up over the couple years that Saturday Night TV was a thing.
What's amusing to me is that my memory of Saturday Night TV is of watching it at Castle Point. So it's interesting to see those two entries I linked are from undergrad, when I was still living in Keenan. Memory is weird.
Anyway, the Internet Archive also has the full series of Relic Hunter available. And we own the full Voyager series on DVD. That only leaves Xena, which isn't obscure enough to be available on the Internet Archive.
Hard to say if or when I'll actually get around to watching any of these quality programs. My current sci-fi indulgence as time allows is rewatching Star Trek: The Next Generation. But it's nice to have them available. Just in case.
If any long-time readers can remember if there were any other shows that were part of our Saturday Night lineup back in the day, leave a comment or send me a message!
