I subscribed recently to a blog written by someone who wrote some thoughtful and nuanced posts about the psychology of how to overcome differences. Someone who identified as a life-long Democrat. When I checked my RSS reader this morning, I found a farewell message. Due to harassment from others on the left, who apparently disliked the nuance in some of their posts, this person decided to delete their entire blog.
Timely indeed: Splitters!
I'm being deliberately vague about the blog or the posts since obviously this person wants no more to do with it. But things are hard enough as is right now. Let's not make them harder for each other than they need to be.
