Pete's Log: fvwm2 makes me happy

Entry #1754, (Coding, Hacking, & CS stuff)
(posted when I was 34 years old.)

So I've spent most of the day setting up a new debian VM to play with. And I decided I wanted to have fvwm2 manage my windows. And so that is what I did.

But fvwm2 is only fvwm2 with my .fvwm2rc. Sadly, that file was lost when my AFS space was deleted, since I only had bmoore back up my cse and www directories. But I poked around a little bit and found an older version, in the www directory, from Dec 8, 1997. It starts like this:

################################################
# Pete's .fvwm2rc file... woohoo

And it looks like this:

FVWM2 with a few windows and a menu opened

And it makes me incredibly happy. Woohoo indeed. I don't remember who Nook is, though.
