Pete's Log: March Madness Half Marathon

Today I ran my first half marathon. Or at least my first half marathon race, I managed the distance once before on my own. Jamie, Angela and I ran the March Madness Half Marathon in Cary, IL.
It was awesome. The course was pretty, the volunteers enthusiastic, and it was just a good time. It was a very hilly (for Illinois standards) run, so I'm happy just to have finished it, since I didn't train as much as I should have...
Jamie and I finished at 2:18 on the race clock, and we figure it took us about a minute to get over the starting line. I'm happy with that result. Angela ran a 1:57 or so.
I am now very sore, and anticipating being more sore tomorrow. But that's what I get for not running more.
