Pete's Log: Apple Watch Tattoo Issues

It's been about eight months since I bought an Apple Watch. I'm mostly happy with it, but there is one issue that bugs me. If it happens to slide over the tattoo on my left wrist, it thinks I've taken it off and locks itself. It seems to be worse in winter when my wrists seem to shrink in the cold. I'm trying a new watch band but it actually seems to be worse, so I'll probably go back to the band it came with. I also tried wearing it on my right wrist, but just couldn't get used to it there.
Oddly enough, one of my thoughts behind putting my tattoo where I did is that it would be convenient to cover up with a watch if need be.
At Riot Fest last fall, Jamie and I at some point overheard the crowd being describe as an "Apple Watch and Tattoo" crowd. Guess they described us to a T.
